Grandfather Lench Archuleta, also known as “don Lorenzo” is a Yaqui Indian and Traditional Native Healer from Southern Arizona who has worked with individuals and small groups in the Sonoran Desert for more than thirty years. He collaborates with numerous medical doctors, health practitioners, therapists, and other traditional healers as a counselor, consultant, advisor, and spiritual guide.
Grandfather Lench’s background includes work with numerous Native American Nations, as well as fifteen years as an advisor for Department of Defense on Ethnic and Human Relations with an emphasis on Native American traditions and philosophies. He has worked as a counselor and teacher for over thirty years and lectures throughout the United States and abroad. In the fall of 2000, Grandfather Lench represented Native American Peoples before Pope John Paul II at the World Mission Conference at the Vatican in Rome, Italy.

Two weeks after the events of September 11, 2001, he was invited to guide and assist Manhattan residents in a workshop dedicated to the healing of emotional and spiritual trauma, which concluded with a ceremonial healing circle held at Ground Zero.

Some of his work has been in cooperation with Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona, author of Coyote Medicine, Coyote Healing and Coyote Wisdom. Dr. Mehl-Madrona has been referring patients for Desert Intensives with Grandfather Lench for over twenty five years.

Since 2003, Grandfather Lench has been working with Caroline Myss, New York Times best-selling author of Anatomy of the Spirit and Sacred Contracts. He was invited to introduce her most recent work, Invisible Acts of Power at its premiere in Fall of 2004. Grandfather Lench is included in the Experts Forum at Caroline’s website, myss.com. He is also a frequent Guest Speaker at the Caroline Myss Institute in Chicago.
